Unistra Ltd Recruitment

About Unistra

People. Potential. Together.

Connecting talent with opportunity and building stronger teams for a brighter tomorrow. That is the line on the wall. Underneath it is a fairly unglamorous commitment to doing permanent recruitment carefully.

Why we started

Because the basics are not being done

Unistra came out of first-hand experience on the client side of recruitment, and finding the same problems over and over. CVs sent that nobody had read. Candidates who had no idea what they were walking into. References chased after the offer rather than before it.

None of that is hard to fix. It is fixed by picking up the phone, doing the checks before rather than after, and being willing to turn down work we cannot do well.

Why permanent

Temporary supply is a volume game won on speed and margin. Permanent placement is won on judgement, and judgement is the thing worth building a reputation on. We would rather make forty good appointments a year that stick than fill four hundred shifts.

What we are building towards

A recruitment business that employers in Staffordshire call first because we have never wasted their time, and that candidates come back to at their next move because we treated them like adults. Slower to grow. Considerably harder to replace.

People

Different strengths, a shared purpose. Nobody is a line on a spreadsheet.

Together

One point of contact who knows your account, not a queue of account managers.

Opportunity

Connecting people to what is next, not simply to what is vacant.

Straight dealing

Clear fees, written terms, and bad news delivered early rather than late.

Compliance

The paperwork that actually matters

Not a badge collection. These are the obligations that govern how a UK employment agency has to behave, and we would rather you knew them.
