Sectors

Four markets, known properly

We would rather be useful in four sectors than shallow across twenty.

Driving & logistics

Licences checked, not taken on trust

Class 1 and Class 2 HGV, 7.5 tonne and van drivers for hauliers, distributors and own-account fleets. Licence categories, Driver CPC and tachograph card seen before you meet anyone, and a straight answer on whether your pay and shift pattern will attract anyone in this market.

  • 7.5 tonne and van drivers
  • Multi-drop delivery drivers
  • Transport planners
  • Transport managers

  • Quality technicians
  • Warehouse supervisors
  • Forklift operators
  • Stock controllers
03 / 04

The hires that hold a growing business together

The roles a small business puts off filling until something breaks. Usually the difference between the owner working on the business or in it.

  • Customer service
  • Internal recruiters
04 / 04

What you can hold us to

Four things we put in writing before you owe us anything.

Most of what goes wrong between an employer and an agency goes wrong because nobody agreed the terms at the start. So we agree them first, in writing, and you can hold us to every one of them.

01

A 12-week guarantee, written into the terms

If a placement leaves inside 12 weeks, we find a replacement free of charge, and if we cannot, part of the fee comes back. Agreed before we start, not negotiated after it goes wrong.

02

Three candidates, not thirty CVs

A short list we can defend, each with a plain summary of what they have done, what they want, and where we think the risk sits.

03

An answer within one working day

Including when the answer is that we cannot help, or that your salary will not fill the role in this market. Told early, not three weeks in.

04

No fee to any work-seeker, ever

Charging a candidate to find them work is unlawful in the UK. Our fee comes from the employer. It always will.

How it works

Three steps, and we do the work in the middle

Step one

Tell us the role

Salary, hours, location, who they report to, and honestly what would make someone wrong for it. Twenty minutes on the phone saves a fortnight of unsuitable CVs.

Step two

We screen and reference

Employment history verified, qualifications seen rather than taken on trust, references taken, and a straight conversation about whether they actually want this job.

Step three

You meet a shortlist

Three or so people worth your time. We handle scheduling, feedback and the offer conversation, including the awkward bits about money and notice.

Where we stand

An agency you can check up on

Recruitment has a reputation problem and most of it is earned. Candidates get charged for things that should be free. Employers get sent CVs nobody read. Compliance gets treated as paperwork rather than the thing that keeps people safe.

We would rather be dull and correct. We operate within the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, we agree terms in writing before we act, we hold candidate data under UK GDPR with a retention period we will tell you, and we do not charge work-seekers a penny.

More about how Unistra works

Employment history verified

Dates and job titles confirmed against references rather than taken from the CV.

Two written references

Covering the most recent relevant employment, taken before you make an offer.

Qualifications seen

Certificates, registrations and tickets checked and copied, not assumed.

Eligibility flagged early

We confirm a candidate's right to work as part of screening and tell you exactly what to ask for. The statutory check stays yours to make, because you are the employer.

Talent today, stronger tomorrows

Tell us what you are trying to fill

No obligation and no contract at this stage. Send us the role and we will come back within one working day with an honest view of what it will take.
